With the improvement and growth of nanotechnology, small satellites are becoming a cost-effective solution for areas in government, military and commercial applications. This conference will identify areas specific to the development of the small satellite sector. Our speakers and program are focused on bringing a global understanding to the Canadian marketplace and an understanding of the Canadian marketplace for companies wanting to do business here. The two day event schedule for January 13 – 14th, 2010, in Toronto, will identify issues, concerns, developments and solutions for the use of small satellites.
The key areas being focused on are:
- Developing Government, Military and Commercial Applications
- Emerging Small Satellite Technologies
- Policy and Regulation
- The investing community
The world marketplace is quickly entering the next stage for space exploration and exploitation and the business opportunities are outstanding. From changing the way that the internet and voice services are provided to enhancing the available data for critical environmental and logistic needs, small satellites will change the landscape.
The topics suggested by the conference can be discussed in term of concepts, state of the art, research, policy & regulatory, developing technologies, standards, implementations, applications, and industrial case studies. Authors are invited to submit an abstract based on complete unpublished papers, which are not under review in any other conference or journal in the following, but not limited to, topic areas.
